Crash
Concerning scrims... A scrim is a practice game. When we set up a scrim, we set it up and play it pretty much the same as we would a match. Hence, the "practice" part. It wouldn't be of much value as a practice if we didn't. I am the Rum match and scrim co-ordinator. If I didn't set it up or have some involvement with it, then it ain't a scrim. If you're on a public server and you play against some members of another clan is that a scrim? I think not, I believe that would be called a pickup game. Maybe I'm splitting hairs here, but regardless of whether a game is a scrim or a pickup game, neither counts. I've always found it in bad taste to report the results of a scrim since they are only for practice and don't count. Twice lately I have seen scrims against Rum reported on clan pages and in IRC channel topic. Scrims I knew nothing about. That would be AK and SK. If you want to post a win against Rum on your page, have the balls to challange us to a match. That is exactly what I did with SK after seeing a "scrim" against Rum reported in their channel. Pepsi and I chatted with Automatic7 and Kublia in ICQ. They left us sitting there for a very long time while they talked in IRC. Turns out they were rounding up some ringers from BB and Anti. After 30 minutes they came back and said they wanted CTF6 for their map. Before they disappeared into IRC, they were refusing to play CTF maps - even for the tie breaker. Put a bogus win on their channel, then when we challange them to a match they go and get themselves some ringers. tsk, tsk, tsk...
